What is an EAP?

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free and confidential external support and counselling service offered by employers to foster employee wellbeing.

EAPs typically involve a package of:

  • Professional short term counselling with referral and case management
  • Management assistance services
  • Organisational and team interventions
  • Reporting to assess program penetration and assist with organisational strategy.
